Rachel is a student at Tempest High School, sharing classes with Emily and Ash.

Rachel doesn't run in the same social circles as Emily and Ash, but she is friendly with them. She even offers Emily some advice when Emily is troubled by a bad dream.[1] Unlike Emily, Rachel has a more relaxed attitude about school, with lower standards for her grades. She's looking forward to her senior year when she can coast to graduation.[2]
When Ash's 18th birthday comes around, Rachel shows up dressed in lingerie designed by Ash's mother, and she dances for her. Emily confesses it was her idea, and she admits it all looked better in her head.[3]
Rachel has a tattoo on her lower abdomen, near her left hip, that can be seen showing just above her belt.[2] It later becomes clear the tattoo is a heart.[4]
